Your Life’s Mission?

Dear Friends and Family,                                                              February 1, 2014

Have you ever wondered what your life’s mission might be?  Or, perhaps, you already know what it is.  God created each of us to be something—if you are breathing, He has something for you to do!

One of the commands God asks of us is to LOVE, very simple, yet so impactful on people’s lives.   Martin Luther King put it in perspective when he spoke this at a church service not long before his death: “If any of you are around when I have to meet my day, I don’t want a long funeral. And if you get somebody to deliver the eulogy, tell them not to talk too long. Every now and then I wonder what I want them to say. Tell them not to mention that I have a Nobel Peace Prize; that isn’t important. Tell them not to mention that I have three or four hundred other awards; that’s not important. Tell them not to mention where I went to school. I’d like somebody to mention that day that Martin Luther King Jr. tried to love somebody.”

Could it be true that life can come down to something that simple?—I think so! And here’s a great way to live…. to love…. one another . . . .

I will do more than belong – I will participate.
I will do more than care – I will help.
I will do more believe – I will participate.
I will do more than be fair – I will be kind.
I will do more than forgive – I will forget.
I will do more than dream – I will work.
I will do more than teach – I will inspire.
I will do more than earn – I will enrich.
I will do more than give – I will serve.
I will do more than live – I will grow.
I will do more than suffer – I will triumph
